Nef's Cord Tutorial PSP9

I am including EZ PSP9 tutorials on my site that I have discovered, while enjoying my hobby of scrapbooking. This tutorial will show you how to make a Fuzzy Cord with no outside filters, using PSP9. Any similariety to other tutes are purely coincidental. This tutorial assumes you have a basic working knowledge of PSP. Hope you enjoy!....Nef

FUZZY CORD TUTORIAL
for digital scrapbooking or printables.

The first settings are for the fat cord used in my banner and bar.....

1. Open new image to dimensions of your choice.

2. Set foreground color to a very light shade of your color choice.

3. Set background color to a very dark shade of your same color choice.

4. Click on your Paint Brush Tool. Use the setting of "Spiky Twirl small"; size=20; step=9; density=100; rotation=0; opacity=100; blend mode=normal.

5. Draw your cord, freehand, adding loops and strands of your preference.

6. Under Effects, add a drop shadow to your cord.

Would you like it thinner and more wispy? In the two examples below I used the following settings in my Paint Brush step.

7. Using Spiky Twirl small, size=20; step=12; density=58; rotation=0; opacity=100; blend mode=normal.

8. Again, add a drop shadow to your cord.
