In response to the debacle of September 11th, I have made a series of special Memorial Sigs. The first is entitled "In Memoriam". The flag at half-mast and the bar of peace symbols will both appear at the top of your sent email. The candle and main graphic appear below the text. I think the symbolism should be obvious; but I wanted to point out that the egret rising from the oily mud is symbolic, for me, of our nation rising from the carnage of this terrible event.

The second is "The Eagle Cries". I have chosen a bagpipes midi of "Amazing Grace", not for its Christian connotations, but because I hear it as a plaintive wail. I was using a slow version of "Battle Hymn of the Republic" for the same reason.

The third commemorative sig is "Pray for Peace". No explanation necessary. The fourth is "Our Flag Still Flies". This sig was inspired by a news report I heard in which the announcer said, of the rubble at the World Trade Center, "Everything here is grey, grey, grey. Everywhere you look, nothing but GREY! The only thing that has been found that retains its colors, tattered as it is, is the World Trade Center American Flag!" And I add, "Long May it Wave!!!" My heart goes out to all those who lost loved ones as a result of these terrorist acts. Blessed Be and God/Goddess Bless America!

2003 "NO WAR!" sig. Although I consider myself patriotic, I do NOT condone the war in Iraq, or ANY war. Therefore, having been an activist in the 60's ... and being a person who believes in the values this country was built upon ... I consider it my patriotic duty to make the first anti-war sig. The midi is "American Woman" and you can read the lyrics by clicking on the PeaceWorld picture just below the main image. Did YOU remember "American Woman" as being a protest song? I must admit that I didn't.

Pray for Peace,
