I first read the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and The Hobbit, when I was 16 years old. That was in 1966, just a decade after JRR Tolkien wrote it; and I have been enamoured of the series ever since. In fact, I consider it the "ultimate fairy tale". And I have discovered that many of our modern fairy tale paradigms are based on Tolkien's vision...most notably, the wizard in the pointy hat!
I am VERY pleased with New Line Cinema's interpretation of the first book, The Fellowship of the Ring. Before I saw the movie, one of my e-pals sent me the main graphic on this page and asked me to make a sig for her. (Thanks, Patsy!) What I THOUGHT would be just ONE, grew into an entire collection of Lord of the Rings sigs . . . which I present here, for your pleasure and enjoyment.

2003: I haven't begun making sigs from The Two Towers yet. I hope to get them started in January or February, depending upon how soon I can get good images. I still have a few I want to complete from the first movie, including Aragorn and Boromir.

Harry Potter Fans! I wanted to make a few Harry Potter sigs, but frankly, I just don't have the energy. However, my friend Marie, from Wicked Kewl Sigs, has made two WONDERFUL ones (each with a ram from the movie):
Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone
Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets
You can find the link to her entire site on the Avalonian Sigs Home Page (link below).

Bright Blessings!
