Most of the poems were written about my relationship with my boyfriend, Ian. One, however, was written upon the death of my father in April, 2004. I'm also including a signature I made in his memory which does not have a poem. It's entitled, "Gone Fishin'" because my Daddy was an avid fisherman for his entire life....even up until the end. When he was delirious in his hospital room, he took my Sister-in-Law on a "virtual fishing trip"... which she said was delightful. He was a "pill" to his last breath.

Not all of the signatures have poems; but they all represent my personal "passages" through my own emotional quagmire. They are presented here in the order in which they were created. Feel free to use any of the signatures except the one dedicated to my father.

As of November 1st, 2004, Ian and I are back together...and very happy. He's been doing all in his power to "make it all better". And we've both grown, immensely. So why haven't I been inspired to write a poem celebrating our reunion? I suppose I'm just too tired from all that's happened this year. I'll be doing one soon, though...

October/November, 2006: Ian and I spent the past two years trying to "make it work"...unfortunately, to no avail. It has been a VERY emotional time for me and I was not inspired to write poetry during that time. We've been "moving towards a breakup" since about May, I guess. At least, I think that's when he gave up on us. On October 2nd, he left for Boston, ostensibly for a higher paying job. I found out about 12 days after he left, however, that it was to be with another woman. My three new sigs chronicle my "passages" through this heartbreaking time.

I made "My Grief" right after he left for Boston. "Never Say Forever" was made after I found out the real reason he went there. And "Remember Girlzzz" was completed after I found out that he's been cheating on me for
almost 2 1/2 years. "Phoenix Rising" was created on 1/3/07 and is meant to give me strength to rise from the flames of my heart, which crashed and burned.

January – April, 2007: The five signatures after "Phoenix Rising" were created during this time...chronicling my recovery. By the end of July, I had lost 65 lbs. and I work out on my Pilates machine every day. I've made my recovery a victory!

I wrote the poem for "I Can See Clearly Now" on July 15th and finished the signature on July 26th...four days after my birthday. Two days later, Ian called me. It was the first time I had spoken to him since last November. He called to apologize, hoping that we can be friends. We'll see....
