Milton, a school of Academic Excellence, provides a challenging and enriching academic environment for approximately 800 students. The campus houses 36 regular education classes, two special needs classes, and a variety of extra curricular clubs and programs. As the only school in Lafayette Parish servicing kindergarten through eighth grade, Milton Elementary Middle School is committed to providing an environment of academic excellence in which scholars can learn and grow.
Milton has been recognized as a model school by Louisiana State University's Positive Behavior System and has also earned the distinction of being one of Lafayette Parish School System's "four star" schools. It likewise was awarded a $99,000 technology grant that further implements Milton's drive toward cutting edge technology in every classroom. Milton utilizes wonderful educational resources, such as Renaissance Math and Accelerated Reading, at every grade level. These programs tailor instruction to each child's developmental needs and ability levels.

At the helm of Milton Elementary Middle School, is award winning principal Suzanne Kebodeaux. Ms. Kebodeaux conducts Milton's adminstrative affairs with over thirty-five years of educational experience. She was appointed to Milton Elementary Middle School in 1991, at which time she served in the capacity of assistant principal. For the last fourteen years she has served Milton Elementary Middle, in its endeavor toward educational excellence, as principal. Ms. Kebodeaux has been recognized as Lafayette Parish School System's Principal of the Year as well as a Louisiana Regional Principal of the Year.
Ms. Renee Langley Nunez brings tremendous knowledge, wisdom, and talent to the Milton faculty as Assistant Principal. Along with her many years of educational experience, this professional mother of three, holds two Master Degrees in the field of education. In addition to her leadership role at Milton Elementary, Ms. Nunez serves as conductor of the Lafayette Community Strings Orchestra.

At the heart of Milton Elementary Middle School, is its outstanding office personnel. Ms. Tina Desormeaux, Ms. Lisa Hebert, and Ms. Brandi Badeaux expertly handle all office and clerical responsibilities with the utmost professionalism. Their daily duties are conducted with a sincere concern for every child, parent, and faculty member. Their dependabilty, efficiency, and love have earned them the title of Milton's "Golden Girls".
