what's the first thing that registers when you view a site? yep, color!
a list apart , which is a well-known site among web designers, offers it's rant. thinkquest hosts a very interesting and informative mini-site about color theory, and it's use on and off the web. |

the fewer colors used, the more impact each color will have. please don't use anything rainbow colored. a rainbow in 'gif' format usually consists of colors that will burn retinas. |
if you're struggling with color choices, try good ol' black and white! (and maybe a little grey thrown in.) you can use any style, any image, any font, as long as it's black and white, everything and anything will look great together. this color combo will give pages a touch of class and usually takes up a lot less bytes. try it! |
