
Vanilla Raisin Bread
For your Breadmaker
1 cup raisins, soaked in vanilla * 1 1/8 cup buttermilk 1 large egg 2 tbl sugar 1 tsp salt 3 tbl butter 3 1/2 cups bread flour 2 tsp bread machine yeast
* Soak raisins in about 3 tbls vanilla for at least 1 hour then drain well. For a stronger vanilla flavor, reserve vanilla and use as part of your liquid.
For a variation, coat soaked raisins with sugar and cinnamon.
Add raisins during 2nd cycle.
