Combating the Holiday "Blahs"

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Granny Nan's.

Come on in and look around!

Christmas countdown banner

With candy canes and silver lanes aglow and toys in every store. But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be on our own front door. (And at Granny Nan's house that means the Christmas Bears - Holly and Nick - on our front door. The Bears love Christmas, too.)

There'll be a tree in your home, and one in the park, and soon the bells will start. And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing right within your heart.

 Here We Go A Caroling
Come sing along.....or better yet
move your feet!

 Wishing You A Bright Christmas

Let Us Keep Christmas
by Grace Noll Crowell

Whatever else may be lost among the years,
Let us keep Christmas still a shining thing:
Whatever doubts assail us, or what fears,
Let us hold close one day, remembering,
It's poignant meaning for the hearts of men.
Let us get back our childlike faith again.

Christmas Glitter
by Helen Steiner Rice

With our eyes we see the glitter of Christmas, With our ears we hear the merriment, With our hands we touch the tinsel-tied trinkets, But only with our hearts can we feel the miracle of it.

"He who has no Christmas in his heart
will never find Christmas under a tree."
