How can I make an Image Map
Ok lets see if we can't get this done quickly and painlessly!!!
First go to Web Wizards Ways Image Toolkit. SAVE THIS SITE IN YOUR FAVS AND STICK IT ON AN F-KEY!!!!!!!LOL!!!!Spend some time here-experimenting (and reading the help guide). You can create an entire webpage here with a few clicks of a button and some CCP. It's a great resource!!!!) Thank you Web Wizard for allowing me to use this tool for this tutorial.
For this tutorial you are interested in only a few functions. Get the URL for the image you wish to make into an image map and click on image to the right of the central color cube. In this pop-up enter in that images URL click OK and let it load.
Now hit your return button and the gold arrow in the lower right corner of your image will move to the center of the image. Move it to the upper left hand corner of the area of the image you want to make a link and click return.
Now tap your left arrow key and return then move the arrow to the lower right hand corner of the area you wish to make a link.
Repeat this procedure for each part of the image you wish to make a link, being sure you have two sets of co-ordinates ( upper left hand, and lower right hand.)
When you have them all done scroll back up to the control panel/color-cube and note the far right text area. Listed in there should be an x and y co-ordinate for each link area you have created.
Click on the word co-ordinates and in this pop-up name your image map( for my example below-I called it eggsheet1). Click OK.
For the next series of pop-ups enter the URL's of what you want linked there continuing until you reach the final pop-up that states: Scrool down to view your Image Map. Thank you for using Web Wizards Ways. Click OK and scroll down below the text area to view your Image Map. (Web-tv being what it is, I'd CCP that code before you go testing out your image map. I'd hate you to hit back and find the code erased from the text area!!!!).
Satisfied? Then take your code back to your file manager and CCP it into the file editor in the place you want the image map to be. Save it and you're all done.
For those that came here from the contact sheets tutorial you can click here to get back. Oh yeah-for your perusal-the image map I made from my egg contact sheet.

Enjoy your image map!!!
