well-finished frame.jpg

This is a relatively simple framing tute.
You will need:

1).Paintshop Pro

2).Eyecandy-I used 4000 but you can get similar effects using 3.

3).My beveling presets-download here- and unzip to your presets folder for Paintshop Pro.

4). My fill-right click and save to your hard drive.
fill1.jpg

1).Choose an image and size down to your preferences...the end image will add 50 pixels in border size. Also load in the fill I made and then minus on that to get it out of your way.

2).Make your background color white and click image>add border and choose symetrical and 5 pixels.

3).With your magic wand, select the white border and then choose selections>invert.

4).Choose effects>3d effects>cutout and apply the following cutout- vertical and horizontal=1,opacity=100, blur=3 background color is black and fill image with this color is unchecked. Repeat the cutout making the vertical and horizontal=-1.

5).Invert selections and flood fill with my fill(Click on the arrow on the top styles color box, and choose patterns-3rd setting from the left- click on the image the appears in the pop-up and scroll up to the image of my fill...Click it and OK).

6).Go to efects>3d effects>inner bevel and apply my grapevine bevel.[Settings bevel=rounder quarter, width=20, smoothness=10 Depth=44, Ambience=25, Shininess=0, Color=white, Angle=43, Intensity=50, Elevation=61]. Deselect.

7).Go to image>add borders and add a 20 pixel symetrical border. Select the white border with your magic wand and flood fill with my fill.

8). Invert selection. Repeat step 4.

9).Invert the selection and float(selections>float).

10).Apply a cutout and use a 2 for the vertical and horizontal with the same opacity and blur...Repeat using -2 for vertical and horizontal.

11).While still selected and floating choose eye candy 4000 >Jiggle and apply these settings- Movement type=Bubbles Bubble size=72.00 Warp amount=14.40, Twist=50, Random Seed=368 (but feel free to play with these to get a look you like.) Eye Candy 3 will produce similar effects but you may need to play with the numbers some more.

12).Go to effects>texture effects>texture and select my driftwood preset[a slight variation on PSP's wood.[Settings-wood texture-size=82, smoothness=8,Depth=11, Ambience=-8, Shininess=0, color=white, Angle=243, Intensity=52, Elevation=31]

13).Defloat but keep selected and apply the rounded inner bevel I supplied.[To give credit were it is do-I started with Raven's Puff that I had obtained in another tutorial and tweaked it to my likening.]{Settings: Bevel-rounded quarter, Width=7, Smoothness=76, Depth=5, Ambience=23, shininess=40, color=white, Angle=315, Intensity=58, Elevation=20}

14).Repeat Step four. Deselect.

15).Add one more border of 5 pixels. Select that border with the magic wand and flood fill it with my fill.

16).Invert selections and apply the step 4 one last time.

17).Invert selection and apply the grapevine inner bevel...You are now done...Resize your image if needed (if you do remember to do effects>sharpen>sharpen) and save your image.
And you are finished.
