World Paper Currency Gallery

Awarded Gold April 5,2009
Country: U.S.A.

If you're intrigued by the look and history of currency from around the world, then you've come to the right place. Association with money typically revolves around earning and spending. Unfortunately, most of us do not take the time to appreciate the artistic distinction and work that goes into the creation of currency. This is a historical and an educational site. This site contains both historical and modern paper currency of over 300 countries, including over 100 countries which do not exist anymore. Now, for example, if you are interested in U.S currency dated back to 1700s till present, you could simply click on special exhibit for U.S and you would be able to see all the currency of this country.

EdTech Collaborative
Awarded Gold: August 4,2009-Closed
Country: U.S.A.

The EdTech Collaborative is about choosing and using educational technologies for more effective teaching and learning. Given the increased use of the Internet and the constant influx of promising educational tools, there is a need to know what works and what doesn't, and why.

The focus of the ETC is on the technologies themselves, but with the understanding that it is not the technologies alone which make for better teaching and learning. Good pedagogy and powerful instructional design use these educational technologies as mere tools to effect strategic learning outcomes.

On this site we welcome the contributions of educators, instructional designers, curriculum coordinators, teachers, administrators, and technology developers. We seek to learn from each other. We each have insight and alternative perspectives which when brought to bear on improving instruction can promote powerful learning environments.
