| ![]() ~ four years later ~ Again, I would like to express my gratitude to God and all of the wonderful people that I have encountered courtesy of this tornado. Some of my friends have nicknamed me "The Tornado Magnet" as since this event I experienced my second tornado on March 12, 2006. My Wife and I went to our local Home improvement center for some remodeling items. The sky did look threatening from the southwest as we entered but afterall this was March 12th. We grabbed a cart and headed for the lumber aisle. All of a sudden the building shook and you could hear things slamming the building. Looking through the glass doors from way in the back the sky was totally black and outdoor grills were flying by. We were directed to the safe room until it passed. Upon leaving the store we saw sheetrock, plywood, gas grills, carts, anything not secure scattered everywhere. Looking into another part of the parking lot we saw the glaas from the greenhouse area blownout and the outdoor sheds on display destroyed. Finding my truck appearing untouched I was relieved. That relief was very shored lived as we shut our doors. Suddenly with the percussion of the doors shutting the back window shattered leaving broken glass all over, apperently something had chipped it.
