This website Page shows 1:48 O-Scale Models of IRT - BMT and NYCTA / MTA Rapid Transit "Maintenance of Way" Rolling Stock. These Models were entirely scratchbuilt by JOSEPH FRANK for his 1:48 O-Scale built "New York City Model Transit System" model "El" Operating Exhibit to be representitive of equipment used in New York City Transit Subway & Elevated Work Service over many early to present years.

Crane fully operates and swings 360 degrees and rides back and forth on inside-gondola rails. Also has a rising and lowering boom with a 7 foot mini-extension boom at end.(Taken May 2001)

Newer (early 1990 issue) MTA Steel 50' Flat Car # OF-173 is seen at rear of Crane car # 245---these flat cars began replacing many of the earlier IRT wood & steel shorter flat cars from the 1910 thru 1940 era work roster. (Taken July 2001)
