~ Blessings ~

God blesses us for all or anything we
do...or don't do, He's just into
blessing us...Amen!!

Of course if we're looking for a
Mercedes Benz or a mansion in the
hills as a blessing...forget it...but
God's blessings are all around us if
we care to notice...God is soooo
good!!

Aside from obvious blessings such as
a family, food on the table, etc., I see
blessings in everything. Even rain is a
blessing, it's giving the world and the
wildlife a drink of water.
I see blessings in the snow...I don't
see a shovel...I see beauty, I see
magic, I see what they call a "winter
wonder land"!! I see the marvelous
wonder of God in a snowflake, so
delicate, so imperfectly formed and
yet so perfectly beautiful; so cold to
the touch and yet so delightful as it
rolls down your cheek. And, with the
snow comes a rememberance that
Christmas is near and Christmas
reminds me of what Jesus did for
me...yes!!

I see blessings in the spring when
everything comes to life, flowers
blooming and filling our air with their
sweet aroma and delicate beauty,
and birds filling our air with their
song...I see a new beginning and an
aura of promise in the land.

I see blessings in the summer when
folks can relax and let their hair hang
down. There are family cook-outs and
family outings and vacations.
Summer is a time for renewal in
relationships, and for thanking God
for all He's given us: family, friends,
and a world in which we can enjoy
life together through swimming,
hiking, etc.

I see blessings in the fall when the
leaves turn beautiful colors and the
world takes on a whole new
beauty...when the familiar "vee"
shape is common as the birds fly
south and a touch of chill fills the air
reminding me that winter, with all it's
wonder, is on the way. Fall speaks
of thanksgiving and plenty.

I see blessings in all there is; a rock
houses many living organisms; even
compost serves a purpose; so does
the yuks on the bottom of a pond!! A
cloud reminds me of God's wonderful
creation; a gentle breeze or a windy
gale can tell me that God is real. I
love Him and I love His creation. I
love that He is a God of life and that
He has made me sooooo aware of all
of His wonders...Amen and Thank
you Jesus!!
