The lake of fire
Lies in wait
For those who sin
It awaits their fate
It's flames are forever
They never will die
It's eternal inhabitants
Will gnash teeth and cry
For peace
Peace will elude them
They had their chance
While they were on earth
They rejected repentance
They rejected God's gift
He gave His only Son
So sinners of all kinds
Will find peace in heaven
They scoffed they sneered
They didn't believe
Their fate will be sealed
Once they leave this earth
For those who accept Jesus
Despite their blackened hearts
He will open the gates of heaven
He will make them right with God
My heart is saddened
When I think of His Sacrifice
Of what He went through
Just so we can have a life
Of peace
He's sneered at
He's scorned
He's rejected
He mourns
For those who are doomed
Doomed to the lake of fire
For those who reject Jesus
It lies in wait
