Deep down inside
I feel the pain
Of those living this life
All over again
When I think of the children
Who have to endure
The rising violence
The threat of world war
A child today is all grown up
He knows his life isn't sure
He hears the talk on TV
He knows his safety's insecure
For the child who knows Jesus
It isn't quite as bad
Even though he's still scared
Even though he's still sad
He knows where home is
He knows his family will be there
He knows Jesus will keep him
In His love and in His care
The world can rumble
It can crumble it can fall
But for those who know Jesus
They just wait for His call
They hear His small voice
They know His commands
They know what to do
When in enemy hands
Their hope isn't in life
Here on this earth
Their hope lies much higher
They'll sit on their perch
In heaven...Hallelujah Jesus!!!
