The wild child fell to her knees
Finally realizing what she'd done
Eyes filled with tears
Heart filled with remorse
She knew there was nowhere to run

She pleaded with God to forgive her
She vowed never to do it again
She knew her life was a disaster
Filled with rebellion anguish and sin

She knew right from wrong
She knew the path to take
But sin took her into it's arms
And left destruction in it's wake

On her knees as she sobbed
And begged and pled
She was reminded that this
Is why Jesus bled

He shed His precious blood
For her black heart
He made her white as snow
He gave her a brand new start

Now how would she live this new life
Would she be able to live it well
Would she look up to Jesus
Or sink back into hell

One day at a time
She took one step at a time
And asked for help along the way
Jesus kept her going
He lifted her up
And brought her far away
From sin

She takes a daily inventory
She knows she'll never be perfect
But she vows to look to Jesus
His promise He'll never neglect

He's her Savior for eternity
Not just for today
He will be there forever
She believes what He says

Because of Him
She's her Father's child
She's no longer that girl
Who chose to be wild

John 3:16 For God so loved
the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have
everlasting life.

John 3:17 For God sent not
his Son into the world to
condemn the world; but that
the world through him might
be saved.
