What I Would Do With Jesus
What I would do with Jesus
If He were standing in front of me
I would cringe from my unworthiness
I would cry out for Him not to see
I would bow down before Him
Sit at His feet
And ask for Him to forgive me
For all that was me
I would then put on His crown
The Glory in His shed Blood
I would be forever greatful
For all that He has done
I would know that my own merits
Would gain me entry into hell
But because He loves me so
He from His Glory fell
He became man so I could be
A woman of Grace
He came down from His heavenly throne
So I could have a place
A place in Glory Land
With Him for eternity
I never want to forget
All He's done for me
I deserve nothing but wrath
But He took my punishment
When He hung upon a cross
And into my hell HE went
I cry for every nail
That was bore into his flesh
I cry for the thorns He wore
Just for my forgiveness
I'm unworthy of such love
I'm unworthy to stand in His Grace
I can never pay Him back
For standing in my place
What I would do with Jesus
If He were standing in front of me
Is to give Him all my Praise
From now throughout all eternity

I wrote this as a "challenge" poem.
It was a wonderful experience because
it caused me to really stop and think of
what I would do with Jesus...and...what
He really means to me...thank you
Carrie for the profound experience this
turned out to be:-)
You can find poems submitted in her
wonderfully Spirit filled site.
I recommend you take some time to
read her poems filled with God's love:-)
