From a cruel word said
Can cause animosity
In the most well bred
Tears won't flow

Pain resides instead

Retaliation's not an option
We need to forgive
The harshness of others
If we want to live
Live in God's peace
Live in God's grace
Living with forgiveness
Is living God's way
The gift of forgiveness
Cleanses the soul
Frees the heart
Makes us whole
Keeps us from anger
Keeps us from grief
Gives us comfort
Gives us peace
To forgive
Is to be forgiven
