The Victory's Won
We seek the top of the mountain
But it's in the valleys we grow
We seek that feeling of elation on top
We fear the terrors below
But true happiness is not at the peak
Nor is it found at the base
True happiness is not from within
It's only found through His grace
Look into the face of Jesus
Study His word and then
Learn of His thoughts and actions
Learn how to walk like Him
True happiness isn't in mansions
Nor is it found in the slums
True happiness isn't a car
It's only found in His arms
When we place Jesus first
His word, His approval, His love
Then all good things will follow
Sent on the wings of a dove
Out of nowhere we will find
That His blessings flow
Suddenly through the worst of times
Our hearts and spirits will glow
We will be content to let Him
Lead us through the maze
We will be content with what we have
Cause this life is but a haze
Our days are but a set of steps
Filled with obstacles
If we're focused we'll pass safely
To reach the pinnacle
Heaven
In Jesus we have all we need
Our wants are but mere toys
Paul sang out his praises while in jail
He made a joyful noise
He found contentment in our Lord
He found his peace from God
Our jail is planet earth
We need to march forward
In praise and thanksgiving
For all He's done
Never forget
The victory's won!
