THE LAST RIDE

They're off to the four winds
Her dad and her
Riding their Harleys
Free as a bird

Leaving their cares behind
Just having fun
Riding into the wind
Two as one

Then one day
Their last ride they took
But her dads name
Was not in God's book

He was diagnosed with cancer
She asked, "Dad, are you ready to go"
He said he's trying real hard
But she had to know

She loved him with all her heart
She needed to know his destiny
She needed to know where he'd go
Where he'd spend eternity

A young biker preacher
She knew pretty well
Would come to his side
And save him from hell

A few weeks before he died
He put on Jesus' crown
She was able to say with peace
"My dad is heaven bound"

Now she rides alone
But one day she knows
They will ride again
Behind heavens' doors

In Glory Land with Jesus
Amen!!

I wrote this about a dear sweet
christian lady I just met who has
already been an inspiration for
me. I wasn't able to fully capture the
beautiful man her dad was and the
close relationship that he and his
daughter enjoyed, but the story of her
dad is just beautiful.

Praise God for His faithfulness to this
man in sending him someone to
guide his final ride,
his ride to Glory Land...Amen!!
