Lord, I ask why people get sick
It has to do with the first sin I know
But Lord, why are the best hearted
people Included in this horrible woe


I know Lord it rains on the unjust
And the just as well
But Lord, I love my friend
Can't you make her well?


I know one word Lord
One wave of your hand
One gentle breath
One quiet command


Will give her a new body
Will give her a new life
Will give her more years
To tell of your light


I know you love her Lord
But I love her too
I need her Lord
To help me get closer to you


She's my guiding light
When into the darkness I go
You work wonders through her Lord
When I'm troubled, she knows


She understands my quirky ways
She gives me love from heaven
She pours out your wisdom
She fills my cup and then


She prays with all her heart
Her spirit calls you by name
She asks in all faith
For you to light a flame


A flame to guide me through
A flame that will ignite and grow
A flame that will light my way
Through the pathway that goes

Into Your Light

I ask don't take her from me Lord
Don't call her home just yet
I need her here on earth Lord
Lest I forget


She reminds me of your love
Of your eternal plan for me
She often opens my eyes
When I'm in too much pain to see


She reminds me of your word
Of all your promises
She often opens my ears
To all you've said


She reminds me Lord
That my heart is white as snow
Because of your precious blood
Not because my record glows


Lord, don't take my angel sister
I love her so very much
Please wave your loving hand
Please grant her your healing touch


Rise her up above the pain
Above the affliction Lord
I know you heal today
You said so in your word


Lord, I'm a weak vessel
But I do know you've had a plan
For all of our eternities
Since before the world began


So Lord, I have one more prayer
I ask that you help me accept
Whatever your will is, it's perfect
You know what's eternally best
