GOD'S WRATH



LIghtning rips across the sky
Not caring what's in it's path
Thunder roars out in protest
Telling us of God's wrath


His power is not to be taken lightly
His love not to be trampled
His angry skies
Is just an example


Of what waits on the horizon
If we scorn and scoff
If we turn from His love
And choose another god


The rain pours down
In great giant tears
Reminds me of judgment day
When we'll go back through the years


There'll be great sorrow
And gnashing of teeth
When we try to explain
At our Creators feet

....why






Why we laughed and snickered
When told of the good news
That He sent His only Son
So we woudn't have to pay the dues


Why we chose the world
The drinking and profanity
When He said with open arms
"Child...come unto me"


"I will give you life
I will give you rest
I will make you mine
You'll be truly blessed"


Our tears of today
Are like April Showers
Compared to judgement day
When God shows His power


I kneel at His feet
He's everything to me
From His great wrath
I've been set free


I don't have to explain
I don't have to cry
Cause Jesus bore my sin
So I could have life
Everlasting with Him


Thank you Jesus
For all you've done for me
And for all who'll listen
To your plans for eternity
Amen!!
