While wrapped in the darkness
Of lifes trials and woes
We have a hard time seeing God
And knowing that He knows
We tremble and stumble
Blinded by life's total night
We call out to Him
But He seems nowhere in sight
We forget that He sees
Through the darkness and murk
He sees all the evil
And threats that lurk
He sends us protection
From what's ahead
He guides us through prayer
He walks with us...never forget
Just hold His hand tight
Don't ever let go
He sees through the darkness
Just let His light glow
Faith is having trust
In that which we can't see
And it's in that faith
That we are truly set free
Free to feel confident
In His power and might
Free to know
That all is still all right
Though darkness prevails
We're confused and lack sight
He will lead us to victory
Day will replace night
And we'll thank Him for the trials
Thrown by the enemy
Cause it's through the woes
That we're truly set free
