~ Through Our Tears ~ Father in heaven Do we need to ask Who what when and why? Can't we just trust in Your plans on high? Our curious minds Take us where we shouldn't be Our "need" to know What it is that we can't see When things happen That we don't understand We cry and we kick We try to move your hand We beg and we plead For your mercies and your love We can't see that you're doing What's best for us Our hearts, they break Our tears, they flow We fall on our knees And put on a great show But faith Lord is knowing That in you we are safe That you're already working To put our lives in place Through our tears we can't see Through our wails we can't hear Through our fight we can't feel That you're still there We distance ourselves Through our questioning phase And yet you still love us And cover us with your Grace Lord, I can never repay you For the love you've given me I can never repay you For giving your Son at Calvary I can never repay you For molding and shaping my life I can never repay you For teaching me all that's right All I can do is love you Lord With all my heart and soul And know that you're right there With me in this dark hole I know you are my light and life You walk me through the storms And you wait with arms outstretched While I journey home I stumble and I fall I don't always do things right But you are there to pick me up And lead me with your Light I don't know why Things happen as they do But thank you Lord for reminding me to just simply trust in you Mary Silva April, 2004
