~ The Path of Righteousness ~ There are no choices in emotions None that I can see The choice lies within ourself To bend down on our knees To bring the emotion before the cross And leave it there for Him To sift through...and to heal That's the only way to keep from sin To sin is not to feel To sin is to do The action not the emotion Is the fall of me and you We can't trust what's in our heart Only what we know We need to obey our Fathers word It's there that our spirits grow We grow in love and patience We grow in the fruits of the Spirit We learn to walk God's way We learn to live it Once we've traveled through His word Obeying as we go We start to feel His love divine We start to kick the foe It's in His word that we draw strength To overcome emotion It's in his word that we draw knowledge And Power through His Son No...there are no choices in emotions None that I can see The choice lies within ourself To bend down on our knees If we choose to read His word To draw close to Him He will keep us from evil He will keep us from sin He will renew our spirit He will cleanse our heart He will set our feet on the path of righteousness He will give us a brand new start Thank you and Praise you Jesus!!
