When they laughed at him one day
As he made the grand anouncement
That rain was on the way

When God said to build an ark
Did he wonder, "Is this real,
or only just a lark?"


Did Noah fully trust
When he heard God's command
He'd never seen rain before
Nor had any other man


Did Noah know for sure
That the ark would hold a crew
Of every creature in the land
Each one a count of two


What did Noah feel
When the ark began to rise
And no land could be seen
By the naked eye


What did Noah think
When all mankind was gone
And only those within the ark
Were left to stand alone


Did Noah fully trust
That they could survive
Now that they were the only ones
Who were still alive


Was Noah ever frightened
Did he ever doubt
Did he ever wonder
What this was all about


What did Noah feel
And how would I feel too
If I were in the ark those days
