VEGAS VALLEY DOG OBEDIENCE CLUB

(Licensed by the American Kennel Club)

Vegas Valley was founded in 1964. It is a non-profit organization offering training for all breeds and mixed breeds.

Vegas Valley offers four training sessions a year including puppy, beginners, novice, open, and utility. Our main purpose of training is to produce dogs that are obedient and conditioned to behave in the home, public areas and in the presence of other dogs. The results will make them a wonderful companion to the family. We also provide an opportunity for people and their dogs to show in A.K.C. obedience trials, of which we offer three a year, and work towards obedience titles from the American Kennel Club.

Through our classes you will learn how to understand your dog and your dog's behavior. These classes are not and end to themselves, but a means to an end... A well behaved dog under all conditions.

Obedience trained dogs will show off the best of what can be obtained through responsible ownership. As anti-dog laws and sentiment increase, not only are you doing you and your dog a service, but the community as well.

We participate in various functions such as: JC State Fair demonstrations, plus obedience demonstations for the local schools. We also donate quarterly to various animal organizations including disaster relief both local and out of state.

All our trainers are members of Vegas Valley Dog Obedience Club and volunteer their time conducting our training sessions. Each trainer must have obtained a C.D.(Companion Dog) title on their dog in order to be qualified to teach classes. We have an apprentice program for potential trainers as these are people that are working on completing their C.D. title.
