Image Magick & Gif Works Tutorial
Banners
1) Take a blank banner to Image Magick
2) Type in the banner URL in the first box &click "View Image"
3) Choose "Resize" from the tabs at the top of the page
4) On the next page go to the box and erase what they have and then type in your measurements with the width first like this..
350x100! You must put the ! or you will not get the correct width and height
5) Leave "Zoom" checked and click onto "Resize"
6) Choose "Composite" to add an image
7) Scroll down to the box and type in or paste in the URL for the image you want on your banner.
8) Choose "Center" and leave the measurements they have there
9) Click onto "Composite" button
10) On the next page choose "Decorate" from the tabs at the top of the page
11) Scroll to the "Color" box and type in the color you want for the border
12) Choose "Frame" and click onto the "Decorate" button
13) On the next page you should see your banner with the image you want and the frame around it.
14) Choose "Output" from the tabs
15) Choose gif,jpg and single image
16) Click onto image and transload
To Annotate or Write Text
1) Take the banner or image to IM
2) Choose "Annotate" from the tabs
3) In the first box type in the text you want on the banner or image
4) Next you need to choose where you want the text to be. I always use "North"
5) Here is an example: 0+50 North
6) The 0 is the space from the left side to where you want the text to begin and the 50 is the space from the top of the image to where you want the text to begin
7) Next you choose the text you want from the choices they have. If you have one that youwant to use then scroll down past their choices and type in the URL for your font where you see the http:// in the box
8) Next you need to go down to the next set of boxes and choose the size for your text.
9) I choose between 24 & 40 according to how much space I have
10) Go over to the last box in the row where you chose the text size and erase the 3 they have there and type in 1
11) Click onto the "Annotate" button
12) If the text is what you want on the next page click onto the "Output" button and choose the gif jpg and single
13) Transload
NOTE: Do not use the "Multi File" except on animated images previous page
Gif Works
1) Take the image or banner you have to
GifWorks
2) Choose "File" and then choose "Open File" from the drop down menu
3) On the next page you will need to either type in the image URL or "Paste" it in the box
4) On the next page choose "Edit" from the boxes and then choose "Crop" from the drop down menu
5) On the next page put the arrow just under the part you want to remove and scroll all the way to the left. Stop where the part you want to remove begins
6) On the next page do the same with the arrow but scroll all the way to the right and stop just before you get to the part you want to remove.
7) You will be taken back to the first page where you will need to choose "File" and "Save Image"
8) On the next page scroll all the way down to the bottom where you see "click here for WebTV" and click onto this
9) Transload your image.
