I would like to talk a little about living in the
mountains, in the desert. Usually one couldn`t find a
better, more comfortable climate than what we have
here several hundred feet above the desert valley
floor, however, these last two seasons have been
somewhat of an anomaly in that respect. We have, for
instance, experienced two fairly severe floods. Very
unusual.
The unspoiled beauty, peace and quiet definitly
influenced our decision to settle here, but it`s not
for the faint-of-heart. There are hazards (this ain`t
city life folks!) which must be considered and dealt
with. It (as they say) "Comes with the territory."
Below these beautiful photos taken by a local fellow
(of our front and back yard), are but a few of the
dangers that lurk in these pristine hills. Please use
the links to learn more from DesertUSA, they`re
cool!!!
