Newark Castle, in Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire is composed of architectural styles from the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. Standing on the bank of the River Clyde, it has served many uses in its time, from royal residence to shelter for the homeless in later years. It is now in the care of the State.
