The Work of Scarlet

The work of this artist can be summed up in one word --- "Passion". Her passion for creating art awakens her every morning. It encourages her throughout the day and it becomes her dreams at night.

Her passion for creating art mellows the harshness that discipline and hard work impose each eighteen hour day.

From this passion she expresses her feelings, her emotions, and her art vividly shows that passion. Choose an emotion, and she has captured it in her art. Her art is vibrant, alive with colors. It reaches out and delights the soul and touches the heart.

"Variety is the spice of life." And variety is the spice of Scarlet's passion. Her subject material spans from Animals to Zen. She places no limits on her creative style. To do so, would mean placing limits on impressions that life itself offers. Without such limitations, and with such variety, she enjoys a greater sense of freedom when producing her work. Without this freedom, there is no creativity. And without creativity, there is no art.

Her passion is so overwhelming, so contagious, that it extends itself to others. Those whom she instructs become infected with this "disease" and eagerly accept her guidance and expertise, so they too, can express and release their passion, for their creations.

     Where did Scarlet's passion for
creating art come from? From Life itself.
To fully understand this answer, we must understand the artist, See Biography and we must understand what art is....

  • Art improves our lives by directly and indirectly lifting the morale of individuals, creating unity and social solidarity.

  • Art creates awareness of social issues.

  • Art may express and reflect the religious, political, and economical aspects of cultures.

  • Art is and can be whatever a culture says it is or whatever they want it to be.

  • Art involves all people, those who conceive the idea of the work, execute it, provide necessary equipment and materials, and people who make up the audience for the work.

  • Art forms as diverse as architecture, body decoration, clothing manufacture, and memorial sculptures reflect social status.

  • Art echoes the natural world. It gives order to the world and intensity to human life.

  • Art is a means of communion as well as communication.

  • Art provides pleasurable experiences along with cerebral wealth.

  • Art also helps us to express our sentimental relations. It can beautify, surprise, inspire, stimulate imagination, inform, tell stories, and record history.

ART IS LIFE.

Scarlet's passion for creating art has purpose, just as her own life has meaning. Through her art, her goal is to raise money for those who are in need --- the orphans, the homeless, the abused, and those that society has turned it's back on. The challenge is great but, thanks to God, Scarlet's "Passion" is greater.
