~ Rules ~

The object of this BlackJack game is for the Player (You) to get a hand of cards that beats the Dealer (the Computer).

The Dealer MUST hit on 16 and below (soft 16 also)

The dealer stands on 17 (soft 17 also).

You may bet any amount from $5 up to your bank balance.

Bet amount can not be changed while hand is in play.

Player "BlackJack" doubles Pay, Dealer "BlackJack" doubles Loss.

"Double Down" allows one hit only. Player win doubles Pay, Dealer win doubles Loss

Player 5 card stand doubles Pay. Dealer 5 card stand doubles Loss.

~ Tips ~

All of these tips are just a quick, simplified version of what, in the real gambling world, are considered sound strategic methods for turning the odds slightly more in the player's favor.

When the Dealer has a "Good" Up Card showing, such as an 8, 9, 10 or "Face Card" you should play as though he probably has a 10 or a "Face Card" as his Down Card. If the dealer has a "King" showing, assume he has 18, 19 or 20 as his total hand... and therefore has a hand very close to 21.

With this in mind, this puts the pressure on you to "Hit" to the best hand possible- this means if your total hand is 16 you can assume you have LOST that hand to the Dealer's ASSUMED 18, 19 or 20.... in this case you should take a "Hit" to try to get above your ASSUMED losing 16 hand.

The reverse is also true; If the Dealer has a "Poor" Up Card showing, such as a 4, 5 or 6, you should play as though he probably also has a 10 or "Face Card" as his Down Card... Giving him an ASSUMED hand of 14, 15 or 16. Since the Dealer MUST hit on 16 and below, this puts the "pressure" on the Dealer to take a card that may BUST him.

In this case your total 16 hand is now considered an ASSUMED WINNING hand, and you would NOT take a hit.

Just keep in mind that your Hit and Stay decisions should be based on ASSUMING the Dealer has a 10 or "Face Card' as his Down Card. This does not work out in your favor EVERY time, but is based on averages played over MANY games.

The decision to "Double Down" is also based on the above assumptions. It is not a good idea to Double Down when the Dealer is STRONG (Has an ASSUMED good hand). You should wait till the Dealer is WEAK (has an ASSUMED bad hand).

When you "Double Down" you take only ONE hit hoping that one hit will put your total hand at, or near, 21. If you have a Total Hand of 11 there is a good chance that ONE hit will bring you near, or to, 21. So if the Dealer is WEAK, and there is a good chance that ONE hit will bring you near, or to, 21, you should Double Down. If you have a Total Hand of 7 or lower, there is NO chance of reaching 21, or even close to 21 with the ONE hit you are allowed; In this case you should NOT Double Down.

The "Odds" in BlackJack are close to 50-50... but favor the Dealer by a slight margin This means that, statistically, for every 100 games played you should win 49 and the dealer should win 51. With this in mind, if you bet $5 on every single hand, eventually you will almost always lose more hands than you win and you will run out of money. In order to actually MAKE money you have to increase your bet amounts when it seems you are on a "Winning Streak", and decrease your bet amounts when it seems you are on a "Losing Streak".

For example: You bet $5 and win 2 hands in a row. This can be seen as a "Streak" (gamblers call this a "trend"). You should increase your bet to $10 on your next hand, and the next several hands.... until you lose ONCE- after which you go back to $5 until the next "Streak" hits. You migh even consider increasing your bet amounts to $25 or $50 until the "Streak" ends.

Good Luck!!!!
