Paula Wedding, 59, writes her first book, The Garden of My Heart. Using the premise of a garden, she shows how through much toil and work that something beautiful grows, spreading beauty into our lives as well.

Paula Wedding’s life reveals a woman fully dedicated to God’s work. She uses her life lessons and background as lay pastor, Sunday school teacher, and Women’s Ministry president to lead others into heartfelt experiences with the Lord.

The Garden of My Heart begins from Wedding’s point of view in the Garden of Gethsemane where she follows the Lord’s steps from His heart-wrenching prayer to God to His being nailed to the cross to the point that she recognizes the price Jesus paid for her sin. The next chapters utilize the Garden premise showing a Personal Gardner who cultivates the heart to make it a place fit for God to reign. Wedding shares her garden lessons: sowing of the first seed, walking paths of enlightenment, touching upon stepping stones of faith through the many life lessons she’s experienced.

The Garden of My Heart is the result of a project, which began after Wedding wrote small booklets for her Web ministry—Touched by Grace. Through God’s prompting, she turned each booklet into a book chapter, which illustrates Wedding’s encounters with life. She particularly focuses on exposing the works of the Enemy in a simple but profound way.

For more than thirty years, God opened paths of numerous projects for Wedding, including writing and teaching. She especially enjoys seeing others grow in the knowledge of God. She has been involved in all aspects of ministry, and relaying God’s Word to others is her passion. In addition, she has been involved in a prison ministry and local church work.

Paula Wedding is married to Charles and they have three grown children. She is a lay pastor, Sunday school teacher for adults and pre-teens, and president of the Women’s Ministry at Liberty Lighthouse Church of God in Hartford, Kentucky.
