SOME IRT EARLY ERA WORK CARS AND TRAIN VIEWS

View in layup yards of side of IRT Hose Car #53, used to carry pumping hoses used with a pump car to pump out flooded tracks and tunnels, seen in layup yards



IRT Pump Car #03, an IRT ex-Composite car body rebuilt after a fire, by the IRT, used to pump out flooded tracks and tunnels, is seen in layup yards. Always coupled to a hose car like Hose Car #53.



IRT Elevated Trash Collection car #98 seen in layup yards. Used to collect trash at Elevated train stations.



View of old NYCTA Hopper (Coal or Ballast use cars) designed for Subway-EL use, in layup yard next to an IRT Deck-Roof High-V car at lead of a train awaiting departure at an EL Terminal Station, adjacent to the layup yards and repair shops.



IRT EL Division 1880's era built 28 Foot Manhattan "M" Class EL wood flat cars with IRT EL Division Trash Collection Car #98 seen in layup yards.
