Welcome to my page of Victorian
Lace Valentines.
Paper lace Valentines were
introduced in the mid-1800's.
Victorians, noted for their
sentimentality, gave much
attention to courtship and
romance, and Valentine's Day
was the perfect holiday to profess
their deep affection.
Here are some paper and fabric
lace Valentines that I have
created to look somewhat like the
origional 1800's cards, using
my own lace and images which
I have scanned; free
images found on the web,
and some tube images
un-zipped and cleaned up by my
friend Janet who has a computer.
All of the images were
put together on my Webtv..
