Making a Wreath using Distort
Since making the tutorial on using dingbats for the framing, a new way of making it is much simpler using a bar of dingbats and then using under FX - Distort and Arc.
I will leave the other tutorial intact in case the Distort Feature doesn't work anymore.
To do this framing we will start with a transparent background of 850x50. Go to Annotate and put in for this particular design the letters rs nine times. The rs is the design I've chosen from the Fonts under Davy's Dingbats.
Use +0+0 West color of your choice in fill and stroke of one - point size is 45. Annotate.
Go to Transform and use Trim
Now up to FX and 362 in box, Arc should already be there, scroll in bottom box and click on Transparent and next box over click on All Scroll down and checkmark in reset geometry Now Click and you have a circle of 288x288.
Now I point and click inside to get where I want to put a circle line so it will form a barrier so when you composite a jpg, it will not leak out. So with this sample I got 15,143. Up to Draw and Circle and 144,144 15,143 - stroke color and stroke of one
Now to put a background in use Replace - Color and put in a color in color box.
Now matte out center and composite a jpg using Dstover. That's it. You may have to resize the circle to fit your image which I did in this case because the flower was not as high as the frame I made.
