Making Scallop Design

Making this design is done using Ellipse.

You can make them whatever size you'd like but my sample is done with a finished one of around 163x163. Decorate with a flower or a background.

Step 1. Go to Image Magick and scroll down and put in 200x200 xc and None in Meta box.

Step 2. Click on Draw - Ellipse Offset numbers: 100,100 30,80 0,360 (the first two are half of the width and height so this will be centered. The 30,80 is the size of the oval and the 0,360 is used for ovals to close.)Use a Fill Color OR as in the above sample in my header I used white for Stroke Color and 2 for Stroke Width and then filled in with a gold background.

Step 3. Again using ellipse we will just reverse the middle numbers: 100,100 80,30 0,360. We now have two ovals one up and one going across.

Step 4. Now we have to rotate in order to do two more so go up to Transform - Rotate 45 This is now going to change the size of your background. Notice it now says 283x283 so you have to make the first two numbers different.

Step 5. So use Ellipse and: 141.5, 141,5 30,80 0,360

Step 6. Once again change middle two numbers: 141.5, 141.5 80,30 0,360 You now have 4 ovals and looks like a scallop design. Isn't that cool?
This one I did with a green fill then used Effects and used Gaussian Blur 10x10.
