As I was making the scallops using Ellipse I thought about trying it with hearts and by golly this is even a good way to make them and not all that difficult to do.

Again just follow step by step and you should be on your way to creating some pretty scallop backgrounds for decorating with flowers or images.

Step 1. Do the same as in the previous page getting a transparent background only this time I used 260x260. Now we are going to use Annotate because this is a dingbat heart I am using. Put in the capital letter Aand for the location I used +0+0 North. Point Size 150 - color White in Fill unless you want to put a color in but I used white to fill in with a background when done. Go down under the Font box and put this ttf in: http://wtv-zone.com/captainraider/font/feb/dingbats/hearts.ttf Up to Annotate and click on. You should have one heart.

Step 2. Now we have to use Transform FLIP for the second heart. Everything should still be there except change the co-ords to +0+30 North.

Step 3. Up to Transform ROTATE RIGHT Same except change to +46+15 Northwest

Step 4. Up to Transform FLIP Everything the same +46+15 Northwest

Now you should have 4 hearts. At this point you can go up to Transform - Trim and check in "Reset Geometry". Now back to your hearts and you can fill in with a background and composite a decoration. That's it folks. Hope you enjoy this one.
