Imploding A Gif

Imploding can be so much fun. You can implode jpgs or gifs but using a "gif" gives you some pretty shapes. You can use flowers or an image such as I did with the blue fairy (see sample below) All you have to do is put on a background a little bigger than what your image is that you are going to use. So say my image is 200x200 you can put on a background of 300x300 whatever color is your choice. I usually use white or black. Now composite your "gif" and you can resize it bigger before you do the implode depending on what you are going to place inside of it. With the blue fairy I first did swirl at 150 since it was an image that was not too good to use as it was and needed something to be more in the round. Now I made it bigger. Did the implode -10. I went to the image and did Point & Click to see where I wanted to draw a white circle using a stroke of #9c8c59 of 2. Composited my fairy using Over. Output as a jpg.

Other examples below were done by compositing the gif on a background, making them larger - doing an implode of -10 then point and click where you want your circle inside to be and doing Circle in white and then doing Matte and compositing a jpg using Dstover. Notice the image of the cottage - I used the bluefairy to implode using 200 swirl.

Example: Bluebirds using a bouquet of flowers in a vase.
Bluebirds: Bluebirds

Bouquet used: Bouquet

Directions for this one - I put the bouquet on a 400x400 white background
implode of -10 I then did point and click to get how big i wanted my circle. My numbers were 75,175 so I used Circle under Draw 200,200 75,175 white for fill and hotpink for stroke and stroke of 2.
I then did Matte composited my Bluebirds Center using Dstover as it was a jpg. That's it.

NOTEI've included a point and click explanation on this page to help out knowing where to draw your circle: Point and Click Tute
