Diamonds and Translate

So many different styles can be drawn to get different effects for compositing images. With this one I used a diamond and added an oval in center. Also did just two diamonds - rotated and did two more and amazing what style it came out. Saved a lot of figuring to do it with Path or lines. :-) Just going up to draw 4 times using the same numbers just changing the translate number.
To make image like the one at the top:
Step 1. Start with a white (or any color) background of 350x350. Go to Draw and click on Polyline: 80,175 175,30 270,175 175,320 80,175 NO Fill color Stroke #9c8c59 Stroke Width 2 Translate box 35.0, 0.0
Step 2. Same steps but use -35 in Translate box.
Step 3. Up to Draw Ellipse 175,175 130,100 0,360 FILL - White Stroke #9c8c59 Stroke Width 2 NOTE: make sure you take out the translate number and put it back to 0.0, 0.0
Step 4. I did matte for the background (diamonds) fill with a background using Dstover and Misc. Now you can Matte out the oval and enter a "gif" and do shadow or leave it without doing Matte and composite a gif. If you want to put in a "jpg" Matte it out and use Dstover.

Making Diamonds and Rotating
Make the 2 diamonds using the same numbers as above using same translate numbers and no fill color. Now Rotate Right. Make the same thing again using the 35 Translate and -35 Translate. You can matte out and fill and comp something in front of it etc. Here's an example:

To make this style of diamonds I used a 350x300 white background (or any color - your choice) I used PATH to draw.
Path: Put all these numbers in: M90,150 175,10 255,150 175,285 90,150 M105,150 175,30 240,150 175,265 105,150 You can leave fill out and use a stroke color width of 2 -- Now under Translate change the first number to 30.0 (NOTE: see note below - you can make the diamonds further apart by changing the number higher like -60 and 60 like my template posted below) Do same thing again only change the "translate" to -30.0 (minus)
You now have 2 diamonds one on left and one on right.
Step 2. To make the center diamond you have to draw the outside line first then go back and draw the inside line. Use a fill color and stroke same as before.
NOTE: Translate number - back to 0.0
Numbers 1st line: M90,150 175,10 255,150 175,285 90,150 Now go back and do the 2nd line: M105,150 175,30 240,150 175,265 105,150
Step 3. Matte between framing using Floodfill and Matte. Fill with a background using Dstover and Misc. Matte out the inside of the diamonds and comp in a jpg using just Dstover (no Misc)
NOTE: If you use a gif you don't need to matte out at all, just comp using Center and Over.
Optional: Put a frame going to Decorate and None for color and 12x12. Now fill with a bg using Dstover and Misc. You can go back and use 5x5 Raise or leave it flat.
I like to make my images with Dave's shadow tool so if you so desire, Matte out the background and output as a GIF. All you need to do at the tool site is put in the background color you want and change name of your image. I like to take off the added shadowing at bottom and right so I crop using Transform: -18 -18 Now you will Output and Optimize.
NOTE: This template was made using numbers for Translate -60 and 60 which moved the diamonds further apart. Template: http://www.wtv-zone.com/MsLee/TEMPLATES/triplediam.jpg
