Experimenting is more fun than you know. I've been doing it for sometime now and when I become bored I like to venture into something new. So here is my interpretation of a blind.
You can make one cylinder and then upload it to your account and use it for making the blinds or do the whole blind and save it to use over again.
I advise you to resize it before you do any drawing of lines for decorating the edges, such as I did because for some reason parts of the lines disappear when resizing. NOTE: Best to draw the lines on a color so the edges don't come out raggy. You can always matte the bg out.
Now on to the directions. And, this is really an easy project. My tutes may look pretty long but I do them this way so they are step by step and I think much easier to follow. (Hope so anyways) ~Lee~
Step 2. You can take this cylinder which I made by using a white background and resize it 20x280. Then you take it to Gifworks - Effects - Cylinder and save it (I suggest you upload it to have for keeps) Now Composite to your background using +0+0 North
Step 3. Now you keep on compositing this same cylinder from North but just add 19 to the second number, so it would be +0+19 North for the second one. The next one would be +0+38 North, then +0+57 North etc. until you have as many cylinders as you would like. Using this size background I was able to comp 12 cylinders. Now go to Transform and Trim(don't forget to check the box in reset geometry).
Step 4. At this point you can leave them horizontally or rotate them vertically by going to Transform and use Rotate Right.
Step 5. Composite an image(one with a bg is good or a gif if you want the white blind to show) and use Center and Multiply.
Step 6. You can now go to Decorate 30x30 border - color of your choice and decorate with rectangles or just frame your picture.
Step 7. If you want to use the deco I have then I used Rectangle for around the blind using 30,30 315,310 Next I went to Round Rectangle: 15,15 330,325 35,35 I then went to Bezier 70,0 172.5,25 275,0 At this point I did Flip to do another one so there's now one at top and bottom.
Step 8. Transform - Rotate Right and do Bezier again but since there's a slight difference in the size now just change 2 of the numbers: 70,0 170,25 270,0 Now Flip and do it again. At this point you now rotate it back to it's upright position.
Step 9. You can add a border or leave it plain. I added a 3x3 so it ended up being 351x346 when finished.
