Great men of history have warned against the very things that are happening in America today. They foresaw the dangers of the electorate becoming complacent and allowing the government to become all powerful. They were wise men who knew that too much power in the hands of a few always leads to corruption in government. That's the situation we have in our country now, we have allowed our government to become our master, something our founding fathers never intended to happen in America. I urge you to take the time to not just read the following quotes and then forget about them. Instead please contemplate on them and ask yourself if WE THE PEOPLE can afford to continue to do nothing as America is being systematically destroyed from within before our blinded eyes. ---Mary Jones
I think nearly all adult Americans realize there is something very wrong in our country today, but they feel powerless to do anything about it. Countless thousands have lost their jobs as more and more American companies have moved to other countries where labor is much cheaper. Thousands more have lost their jobs because of the tremendous influx of illegal Mexican immigrants who will work for less pay.
Homeowners, in ever increasing numbers, have had to abandon their homes because they can no longer make the mortgage payments, due in large part to the unscrupulous loan practices of many banks and mortgage companies. Drug use is rampant, especially among the youth of America, and the crime rate continues to grow with each passing year. Same sex marriage is slowing gaining acceptance in mainstream America, and legal abortions are snuffing out the lives of approximately 4,000 babies every day. The men and women we elect to work forus us in Washington D.C. are instead working against us, and are in fact paving the way to the ultimate demise of this once great Christian nation. It has become commonplace to hear Christians described as poor uneducated people who are out of touch with reality, behind the times, unenlightened, self righteous, bigoted, etc. The skyrocketing price of food and gasoline, and just about everything else, is making it increasingly difficult for millions of Americans to make their paychecks last until the next one comes, and many are having to do without badly needed medications because they too have undergone a drastic increase in price. It is a FACT, not a MYTH, that America, as a free and sovereign nation, will be a thing of the past in the not too distant future if it is merged with Canada and Mexico into what will be known as the North American Union. The American dollar, which is becoming more worthless every day, will become extinct, and will be replaced by a common currency known as the amero. There will
be no borders between these three countries and millions more will be streaming into America, most in search of the American dream. Others will come to peddle illegal drugs, and still others will come as terrorists, determined to do whatever it takes to bring Ame
rica to her knees. Needless to say the more immigrants that come to America the greater the jobless rate will increase for Americans, especially among the poor and middle class, and the already financially troubled Social Security system and Medicare will almost certainly go broke. All of these things are being forced upon WE THE PEOPLE of America against our will, we have no say anymore in what our government does. it's like we don't even exist. But instead of coming together and fighting to take back our country while there may still be a chance to save it, we are just sitting back and letting it happen. It's like we have resigned ourselves into believing there is nothing we can do, that what is to be will be. The most important election in the history of our nation will take place this year. If ever there was a time we need to let our voices be heard loud and clear to those seeking our vote that time is NOW! We need to let them know that we are sick and tired of their broken promises and outright lies. We need to let them know in no uncertain terms we're tired of corruption in ALL levels of our government. The presidential candidates have already been chosen, and all we can do now is pray that the best man wins in November. But we need to remember that a President can do little without the support of Congress. As voters WE THE PEOPLE have not only the right but the duty to demand that the men and women we elect to the House and Senate stop lying to us to get our vote. I personally believe we should insist they sign an affidavit vowing to keep the promises they make to us. Let them know in the strongest of terms that THEY work for US, and if they don't keep their promises they will be voted out of office after one term. And be sure to follow through with your ultimatum if the need be.

Our Founding Fathers designed our system of government in the form of a constitutionally limited republic with minimum government control or interference into our personal lives and business affairs. They didn't have in mind some gigantic federal bureaucracy with all this power and control regulating our lives and our businesses. They had in mind a federal government that would abide by the Tenth Amendment. It was small, it had limited powers, it took care of national events, and it defended our borders. It maintained the army and issued national currency. And all the rest of the rights and responsibilities, they said, belonged to the states and the people."

I am retired because of severe emphysema and living on a fixed income.
