Men and women are three part beings. We all consist of body, soul, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our makeup, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc.
What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God and in doing so, we open the doors to hatred and violence.
We do not need more restrictive laws. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who is hell bent on using a gun to commit a crime.
We do not need more million dollar church buildings built while people with basic needs are being ignored.
We do need a change of heart and an humble acknowledgment that this nation was founded on the principle of simple trust in God.
After the September 11, 2001 attack on America, Billy Graham's daughter, Anne, was being interviewed on the Early Show. She was asked by Jane Clayson, "How could God allow something like this to happen?"
Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, "I believe that God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives ... and being the gentleman that He is, I believe that He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand that He leave us alone?"
As a Christian, the words penned above by this man and this womam have touched my heart. Our country is in moral decay and ruin. It is ONLY through the prayers and actions of God fearing people that our beloved country can again become the great Christian Nation our forefathers founded and dreamed of.
We CAN change America.
We CAN make her a great God-fearing nation once again.
We CAN bring back the modesty and morality we were once proud of.
Will you join me and countless others in praying for our leaders, the families of America and do your part in turning America back to Christ?
