ROGER BALDWIN
(Founder Of The ACLU)
Then in 1978, Baldwin said, "We've depended on the courts as the vehicle by which we assert our interpretation of the Constitution."
Massachusetts Supreme Court
The offenses of the ACLU and our activist Federal courts are way beyond anything that can be published in a single web page, but if you search the internet for 'ACLU decisions' you will quickly find many examples of lawsuits filed by the ACLU that later became law due to unconstitutional court decisions, However, I will give you a few examples here.
On the very same day the Supreme Court, in Van Orden v. Perry, held, also 5-4, that a long-standing Ten Commandments display on the grounds of the Texas state capitol did not violate the Establishment Clause. Go figure that one out! where is the justice here?
Then there is the case in Alabama that most of you are no doubt familiar with.
Judge Roy Moore had a 2 1/2 ton Ten Commandments monument erected in front of the courthouse and was forced by the courts to have it removed. Quite ironic
considering the information below on the Ten Commandments at the United States Supreme Court building.
As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on the lower portion of each door.
As you sit inside the courtroom, on the wall right above where the Supreme Court judges sit, is a display of the Ten Commandments.
Why have we never heard anything about these displays of the Ten Commandments being in violation of the Constitution, why haven't they been order removed, isn't the Supreme Court Building on Federal Property?
Now if there is anything bad about the 10 Commandments, I would sure like to know what it is. It seems to me that they are nothing but good for all people of all faiths. Even for atheists, who don't believe in God, the last six Commandments are certainly desirable rules of life for them also.
The ACLU could never have accomplished their many court victories without a bunch of ultra liberal activist judges on the Federal and Supreme court, whose goal it is to make laws according to their own beliefs, rather than interpret the laws that were so clearly defined by the men who wrote the greatest legal document in the history of mankind, the UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION.
These justices, in my opinion, when interpreting the law, should consider the time setting these laws were made and the intent of the authors of our Constitution.
Then, and only then, I believe they could only come to the conclusion that our founders would definitely want God left in everything in this country, thus it would be illegal to remove anything Godly from public buildings, prayer in schools, etc.
The Chamberlin Family
"Sandra's first-grade teacher came to visit us," recalled Marjory. "She wondered why Sandra didn't like school. I told her that Sandra didn't like school because the teacher talked about devils and angels in class." The practice of bible reading and morning prayers were taking place in North Miami Elementary School, throughout Dade County and the entire state.
This family brought one of the earliest lawsuits against bible reading in public schools. Marjory and her husband Harlow L. Chamberlin, a radio advertising salesman, had moved to Miami from Madison, Wis., in 1950. They had three children, Richard, Betty Ann and Sandra.
Florida law required daily bible readings, followed by prayer. In the Chamberlins' experience, those rituals were occasionally followed by religious commentary from teachers.
Harlow was active with the Florida American Civil Liberties Union and decided it was time to correct these First Amendment violations. for the way he interpreted the First Amendment, these practices were illegal. He sued and eventually, after going through the lower courts, the case wound up in the Supreme Court of the United States.
A decision was reached on June 1, 1964. The court ruled that devotional Bible reading required by statute, and reciting prayers in Florida public schools was unconstitutional. Prior to the time the Bible and prayer was forbidden in public schools parents considered them a safe place for their children to be, needless to say they don't feel that way now, many parents live in constant fear for their children's safety when they are at school.
The ACLU) now has zeroed in on Christmas as something that should be eliminated as a religious holiday. and they're going all out to win this fight. Due to fear of being sued by the ACLU department stores and discount stores across America have instructed their employees to wish their customers 'Happy Holidays' rather than 'Merry CHRISTmas '
Happy Hollidays be damned, it's Merry CHRISTmas and we, as Christians, simply MUST NOT allow them to get away with this, we must FIGHT back hard to keep CHRIST IN CHRISTmas!!!!! It is the day set aside to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, we must not let this Godless organization take this away from us.
Marriage has always been defined as a union between a man and a woman, primarily for the purpose of the continuation of the human race, and to strengthen and give stability to the family unit. But leave it to the Godless ACLU to have this sacred institution as one of it's prime targets.
The ACLU brought the very first lawsuit seeking marriage for same-sex couples in 1972, but recent advances have motivated anti-gay activists like never before, and they are pushing for constitutional amendments that forever ban marriage and civil unions for same-sex couples. Amendments have already passed in 20 states and are on the ballots this November in 8 more.
In their most recent lawsuit dealing with same sex marriage the ACLU sued the state of Maryland, charging that their ban on same sex marriage was illegal. The Maryland Circuit Court ruled in favor of the ACLU, and ruled that discrimination against gay marriage violated State Equal Rights Amendment.
Judge Brook Murdock
Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Brooke Murdock found that denying same-sex couples the ability to marry, and thereby gain the many protections and benefits of marriage, violates the Maryland state constitution's Equal Rights Amendment, which protects against discrimination based on sex. She also found that there is not even a rational basis for denying same-sex couples the ability to marry.
The ACLU, Equality Maryland , and same-sex couples from across Maryland celebrate their victory outside the courthouse in Baltimore
The ACLU and Equality Maryland hailed the decision as a significant step towards winning similiar cases in all states that currently ban same sex marriage, and their goal is to continue to fight until same sex marriage will be legal in every state.
SAN FRANCISCO -- In a 2-1 decision that will be appealed to the California Supreme Court, a divided panel of the California Court of Appeal ruled today that the state may continue to bar same-sex couples from marriage
Lower-court judges in Washington and New York City have ruled their states' marriage laws unconstitutional. Judges upstate New York have upheld the marriage laws. And just very recently the Supreme Court of New Jersey ruled that new legislation will have to be written that will result in same-sex marriage or civil being made legal in that state. Connecticut and Iowa are awaiting their courts' first rulings on marriage laws.
In addition to Maryland and California, homosexuals have filed "freedom to marry" suits in Connecticut, Iowa, New Jersey, New York and Washington state. as of this writing.
The following is an excerpt from an article in the highly acclaimed "Whistleblower" magazine.
What you probably don't know is that the ACLU is using your money to do it – such as when it received close to half a million taxpayer dollars after successfully suing to have the 10 Commandments removed from Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore's courthouse.
That's the stunning, in-depth, investigative story told for the first time in it's December -2004 issue The article is titled "EXTORTION: How the ACLU is destroying America using your money."
The headlines assault us daily:
"Silent Night" can't be sung at school
The Defense Department must stop sponsoring Boy Scout troops
A tiny Christian cross must be removed from the Los Angeles County seal
Nativity scenes on a courthouse lawn are unconstitutional.
Americans' heads are spinning, as they wonder what the next judicial outrage will be:
Removing "In God We Trust" from U.S. currency?
Firing all military chaplains?
Expunging all references to God in America's founding documents?
More than any other group, the American Civil Liberties Union – founded by avowed communist Roger Baldwin – is behind what many are calling a legal jihad against public expression of the Christian faith in America.
Drastic changes to our congressional voting and the Supreme Court voting need to be put in place and only Congress can do it.
One - All congressional votes should have to have a two-thirds majority.
Two - The Supreme court should also have to have a two-thirds majority.
There are too many laws passed on a single vote in congress and certainly too many 5-4 decisions made by the Supreme court. If they can't get a two-thirds majority in Congress or the Supreme court I submit to you, that it is not a good bill or a good law and we would be much better off without it.
The politicians would have us believe that if they had to have a two-thirds majority in Congress to pass a bill that nothing would ever get done. If you look at the many laws that passed with less than a two-thirds majority they are laws that should have never been passed to begin with, in most cases they were political in nature and favored the ruling party in Congress at the time.
This nation did pretty well until the ACLU and others ,desiring to make America a country where the only God is satan, began to attack any and all things having to do with Christianity and Christian beliefs. Now our once great country is in a free fall from it's heights in the early to mid 1900's ,when we were the envy of the world. Our Founding Fathers must be turning over in their graves! I'm so glad they can't see what has happened to their great vision for America.
There is so much more I would like to include here but this web page is already too long and I just can't put it all in. I would have especially liked to have covered the ACLU'S position and lawsuits concerning abortion. However if you would like to read about their stated goals on this issue and many others just click on the link below about the founder of this organization, Roger Baldwin.
