MOM'S CARMEL CORN
          Monica, thanks so much for
          sharing your Mom's recipe!


          Hot air heat popper 3 minutes
          1/2 cup Orville Popcorn
          1 stick margarine or butter
          1/4 cup light corn syrup
          1 cup light brown granulated sugar
          1 tsp. vanilla
          1/2 tsp. baking soda

          Heat oven to 250 degrees
          Using a large pot (because
          baking soda bubbles up)
          combine margarine, sugar, and
          syrup, bring to a boil.
          Stir constantly, simmer 2 mins.
          Remove from heat, stir in
          baking soda & vanilla.

          In another large pot or bowl,
          pour liquid mixture over popcorn
          alittle at a time, mix well.

          Spread on 2 cookie sheets
          (teflon works best)
          Bake at 250 degrees for 30
          mins, stirring twice during
          baking time.

          Remove from pan immediately
          and place on wax paper to
          cool completely
