2. Type in a couple of words from the start of the text you want to copy.

3. Press RETURN - to highlight the words you typed.

Here are some notes to put you ahead of the game.

A. If the set of words you type in FIND appear in the text severa times....and you want the third set.,,,the highlight will appear at the first set.  Press CMD + G and the highlight will appear at the second set.  Press CMD + G again and you have what you want.  If you go to far, press CMD + B to back up one set at a time.

B. With SHIFT + ARROWS, the right arrow will highlight one letter at a time and the down arrow will do it one line at a time.  The up and left arrows will delete the highlight either one letter or one line at a time.

C. For very large text areas, use SHIFT + SCROLL DOWN to highlight the entire text, one scroll, or sceen, at a time.

D. Once you hit CMD + C, that text will remain in memory until you....copy new text....switch users.... or power off. Absent those three things, the copied text will be in memory forever.  You can paste it over and over again if you want to....such as writing the same e-mail to several people, one at a time.

E. If you're viewing a web site and want to send the URL to someone, press OPTIONS....then GOTO.... then SHOW CURRENT.  Now, hit CMD + A to highlight the URL...and CMD + C to put it in memory.  Write your e-mail or post and hit CMD + V to bring up the URL of the web site.

That's all there is to it!

Take it one step at a time and you should not have any problems.  Practice by sending e-mail to yourself ....using this text as your practice text.

Have fun!!!
