FEMALE ATHLETE [POLE-VAULTER ON BUS]
Again, take the shot, worry later; or don't worry at all. I was sitting on the airport bus two rows behind this incredible young woman. I took as many photos as I could, making sure not to make a spectacle of either myself, or my subject. I eventually created a whole portfolio of photos taken from just this angle, and perspective. I got off a stop early to approach her and her traveling partner, her mother. They were very flattered and respectful of my artistic and journalistic intentions. This girl was just as lovely facially as her physique was athletic. I learned she was, in fact, a pole-vaulter on her school squad, from Northborough High School in MA. I'll publish all the work I did with the many pictures I got during the forty-minute ride, on a later page. Not one image was exactly the same as another, as the daylight coming through the windows of the moving bus was changing by the split second. I could not have worked with better lighting in a professional studio. Another book?!?
