My Version of Cathy D's Sanddollar
A Help Page by Mary

Cathy D wrote a good tutorial for filling a sanddollar with a scene. Here is her tutorial. I used her tutorial and numbered the steps---mainly for my benefit. If it can give a little more help to anyone, that's good! Thanks Cathy for the tutorial and allowing me to make this page. :-))

1. Take this url to Image Magick-- http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/Help_Pages_3/sanddollar_keep.gif

2. Composite this image +0+0 Center and use "In" from the drop down menu. http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/Help_Pages_3/seascape_keep.jpg

Note: See this page for instructions in moving an image by changing the offset numbers.

3. Upload this image. Jot the url down.

4. Take this image back to Image Magick.

5. Paint the background black. Use fuzz 9999, Replace and Color.

6. Click decorate at the top. Use 50x50 and border.

7. Click Effects at the top. Put 10x10 in the slot and choose spread.

8. Click Effects at the top. Leave the numbers and choose gaussian blur.

9. Click resize at the top. Put 110% in the slot and click resize.

10. Click composite at the top.

11. Composite the url that you jotted down. (The original filled sanddollar)

12. Click transform at the top.

13. Put 40x40 in the slot and choose shave.

14. Output as a jpg.

Here is the finished sanddollar image with animated white gulls added in a table.
