Drawing a Gold Lined Polygon Frame

Here is an image that I got from a yahoo group. I thought it would be fun to try to copy it.

I am keeping my notes and numbers for my benefit but if anyone can use them, feel free to do so.

1. Make a 400x500 blank and color it mistyrose.

2. Click on Draw and choose Rectangle.

3. Put these numbers in the slot.
    +1+1 +399+500
Delete fill color. Stroke color is white. Width is 1.

4. Click on Draw andchoose Rectangle.

5. Put these numbers in the slot.
    +36+41 +364+454
Delete fill color. Stroke color is white. Width is 1.

6. Matt out the border you just made around the edge.

7. Use a gold fill and dstover/tile for the border.
The gold fill I used is http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/Help_Pages_3/gold671.jpg.

8. Matt out the center and use a fill of your choice with dstover/tile. The fill I used is http://www.wtv-zone.com/Kitkat3l/Help_Pages_3/brown_fill.jpg.

9. Choose a darker color from your middle fill. I used rgba(113,73,38,1).

10. Click on draw and choose rectangle.

11. Put these numbers in the slot.
+9+7 +392+490
Delete fill and put color number in slot. Width of 2 or 3. Click draw.
Click draw and choose rectangle.
Numbers are +18+18 +382+480 (same as above)
Clickdraw and choose rectangle.
Numbers are +28+30 +372+468 (same as above)

At this point, I would output and download the image.

To make the center polygon----

1. Make a mistyrose blank 400x500.

2. Click draw and choose path. Put these numbers in the slot. Don't try to type them in - copy them.

3. Matt out between the lines and fill with your gold.

3. Matt out the remaining mistyrose color.

4. Output as a gif and composite over your first image.

Your result will look like this.

To make the center transparent, here is how I did it.

1. Make a mistyrose 400x500 blank.

2. Use the same draw numbers as above and same color.

3. Matt out and fill the polygon space.

4. Matt out the outside mistyrose but leave the inside of polygon mistyrose.

5. Output as a gif.

6. Composite over first image.

7. Matt out the center mistyrose. Now you can use an image with dstover.

8. At any time, before resizing, you can use the same draw numbers to make your lines sharper. Try making them a little wider, if need be.

Here is my finished frame which has been resized to 304x380.
